Danube Day is a celebration of a cleaner, safer river following 17 years of international cooperation. Huge festivals on the banks of the rivers; public meetings and fun, educational events pay tribute to the Danube, its peoples and the progress that has been made.

Join over 81 million people in 14 countries to celebrate Danube Day on the 29th June 2011 and help protect the Danube river so it can be used and enjoyed by generations to come. Nearly 500 organisations worked together on Danube Day 2010.

How people use and enjoy the Danube rivers in future years will be directly affected by the events of Danube Day 2011. Join in and help make the decisions that affect your river.
