Danube Day 2011 in Serbia is the biggest yet with 100 events being planned by over 300 organisations in 25 locations! Activities across the country stretch from June to September: not just a Danube Day but a Danube Summer!

Belgrade's main event sees the Danube come to the streets on Danube Day . Take a stroll along the interactive ‘Danube Street' at Zemun Quay to meet plants and animals that live in the river. Raising awareness is key with students taking part in the 5th Danube Eco Camp on Great War Island in August and promotion of the new Serbian Danube Box, an interactive education kit for schools, in September. With festivals, conservation tasks, boating adventures, competitions, entertainment and great fish soup, there's an event near you!
